The next meeting of Sydney Audio Club sees us once again at Dence Park for an afternoon of fine music and sound. This month we are featuring loudspeakers from seminal British firm Spendor. The SP2/3R2 is the latest iteration of a model that was first introduced more than 15 years go. From the team that brought us the BC1 and other Spendor designs, it is amongst a small group of loudspeakers that can justifiably claim the title "classic". Accompanying the SP2 is a different take on monitor loudspeaker sound, the SA1 mini monitor. Sharing the approximate box dimensions and infinite baffle design of the classic LS3/5A, which Spendor helped to popularise 30 years ago, this is about as far as the similarity goes, as the SA1 delivers a thoroughly modern sound from its pint pot enclosure.

Electronics will be from the Naim XS series, courtesy of the CD5XS, NAC152XS, and NAP155XS. And expect a guest appearance from some Cymer amplification to provide a different take on front end pre-power. 

As ever, the last hour is our popular BYO music spot.  Bring along your favourite recordings on CD to share. All musical genres are welcome - all we ask is that music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played.

Members and Guests welcome - we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound.
