Next Meeting
Sunday 11th July 2010
Creative Centre Dence Park
26 Stanley Rd Epping
Doors open at 1pm, music starts at 2pm

The next meeting of Sydney Audio Club sees us once again at Dence Park for an afternoon of fine music and sound. Each month we put together a system to illustrate the potential for fine music reproduction in the home. We often also examine controversial topics in the audio community, but do not take ourselves too seriously.
In July we have an intriguing system comprising some classic components and some less well known. The amplification comes from Audio Research and Meridian in the form of the well loved Audio Research SP14 preamplifier and Meridian 557 power amp combination. The front end is also from Meridian, in the form of the G08.2 CD Player.

Speakers come from Korea in the form of the Kochel K300 three way horns. These speakers are reputed to offer the dynamics of horns with the neutrality of a well designed box or panel speaker.
Our meetings are broken into three sections. In the first part of the meeting, we present the system and often examine some controversial aspect of our hobby. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen. learn and share you experiences with others of similar mind.
After the system presentation, we have a break to socialise a bit. Then the last hour or so is our popular BYO music spot. Bring along your favourite recordings to share. All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be faded out, to give everyone a fair go.
Members and Guests welcome - we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound.
